The deal underlines Simya VC’s strategy of supporting technologies that respond to evolving needs in global markets. Founded by Didem Aral and Ozhan Ozturk, with technology leadership from Cihan Sahin and Charles Randall, reprai aims to optimize pharmaceutical marketing channels through AI-based solutions. The company plans to expand its presence in Europe and the United States, using the new funding to strengthen its team, refine its technology, and grow its client base.
Selma Bahcivanoglu, Managing Partner at Simya VC, emphasized that the pharmaceutical industry is undergoing significant changes as traditional face-to-face sales lose influence while digital expectations rise among healthcare professionals. She noted that in the United States, an average meeting between a doctor and a sales representative costs around $500. With reprai’s platform, this expense can be reduced to less than $20, offering both efficiency and scalability for the industry. Bahcivanoglu highlighted that the startup’s founding team brings complementary expertise, enabling them to establish strong product-market fit at an early stage.
Didem Aral, Co-Founder and CEO of reprai, said the company was created to drive an AI-led transformation in pharmaceutical marketing processes. She explained that since its inception, the startup has focused on scaling in key markets such as Europe and the United States. With the latest investment, reprai aims to broaden its customer portfolio and position itself as a company capable of influencing global industry standards. Aral added that the team’s vision is not only to expand business operations but also to play a significant role in guiding the digital transition of the pharmaceutical sector worldwide.
