ZTE Corporation, a global leader in integrated information and communications technology solutions, today officially opened the 15th ZTE Global Summit & User Congress under the theme “Architecting Infinity from Connectivity to Digital Value”.

This event will be held for the first time together with the GSMA M360 ASEAN and is the largest annual forum hosted by ZTE itself outside of China. Over 500 well-known participants, including government officials, ICT industry executives, operators, innovative companies and ecosystem partners, gathered to discuss in depth the future of network development, the integration of AI and digital innovation, and regional digital economic growth.

YB Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications in Malaysia, stressed that Malaysia’s next digital phase must go beyond providing connectivity to create tangible value for Malaysians through better public services, stronger businesses and more opportunities. He urged global technology partners to “not only sell to Malaysia, but also work with Malaysia.” He stressed the importance of developing local professionals, strengthening national skills and promoting innovation that can serve the broader market of ASEAN countries.

YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital Affairs of Malaysia, said: “The next phase of digital competitiveness in Malaysia depends on translating artificial intelligence into tangible economic and societal value, increasing productivity, improving public services and creating higher value opportunities for our people. To become an AI nation by 2030, we need to look beyond infrastructure, nurture local talent, strengthen trusted governance, and empower domestic innovators to develop global solutions.”

Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia, said: “Connectivity defines our era and innovation shapes our future. As digital networks bridge the world, AI is driving a new era of shared prosperity. Through the global digital wave, China is fostering growth that is open, inclusive, secure, and benefits all. We are ready to work with global partners to deepen technology exchange, create industrial synergies, jointly create standards and join forces for common governance.”

Xie Junshi, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of ZTE, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the organizer. He noted, “All over the world, connectivity and computing are coming together. This is an important industry trend. 5G continues to expand worldwide with steady growth. At the same time, AI has become a key growth driver for the industry. Different markets move at different speeds, but we’re all moving in a clear direction: from building computing power to using it fully.

Against this market backdrop, ZTE has further developed its strategy to “Connectivity plus Computing”. We see AI as the brain, communication infrastructure as the nervous system and terminals as the carriers. These three elements taken together will transform our society and our daily lives. Solid basic technologies are our foundation. This defines where we are going.”

He stressed: “Connectivity has laid our foundation. Intelligence is what drives us. Infinity is our horizon and together we will shape it.”

Zhang Wanchun, Senior Vice President of ZTE, delivered a keynote speech titled “A New Phase of Digital Infrastructure.” In his speech, he emphasized: “Our ambition involves four steps: vision means finding our long-term direction, volume means deploying innovation with scale and quality, value means turning infrastructure into value-added systems, and venture means pushing boundaries even further.”

As part of the summit, ZTE comprehensively demonstrated AI-powered and redefined connectivity, efficient token production and value realization, and created a commercial roadmap from connectivity and computing infrastructure to scenario-based terminals.

As a bridge connecting technology, markets and the industrial ecosystem, the ZTE Global Summit & User Congress 2026 offered an innovative, forward-thinking event. ZTE strives to collaborate with stakeholders and jointly build COMPETITIVENESS driven by a shared VISION, implemented through VOLUME, translated into VALUE, and expanded through VENTURE.
