Drawing from her experience, she highlights the distinctive strengths women bring to boardroom decision-making, from inclusive leadership and emotional intelligence to resilience and long-term strategic thinking. As a woman leader in the technology and distribution ecosystem, what has been the most defining moment of your career journey?
A defining moment in my career was when I realized, I wasn’t just building campaigns, I was helping shape direction of the tech in our region.
Marketing was no longer about one company or an individual win. In technology, real growth only happens when you take the whole industry forward with you.
We began focusing on building complete solutions combining brands, creating alliances, and aligning regions to deliver stronger ecosystems rather than isolated products.
At the same time, enabling the industry became our core focus. We trained over 3,500 professionals in a single year. That’s when it truly became clear to me influence isn’t about visibility. It’s about responsibility.
We weren’t just participating in the industry. We were helping raise its standards.
That shift from execution to influence, from individual success to industry impact has been one of the most defining transitions in my journey at NMK.
Share some insights on the kinds of opportunities you see for growth in the regional tech ecosystem.
The regional tech ecosystem is at an inflection point. The scale of infrastructure, smart cities, mega venues, enterprise transformation, it’s accelerating rapidly.
But the real opportunity isn’t just in projects. It’s in capability.
Technology adoption only becomes sustainable when the ecosystem has the skills to design, deploy, and maintain it long term. That’s where I see the biggest growth lever enablement.
Whoever invests in education, cross-border collaboration, and long-term standards will shape the next phase of this industry.
The opportunity is massive. The real differentiator will be who builds the capability to sustain it.
What unique strengths do women bring to boardroom decision-making?
In boardroom decision-making, the strongest advantage women often bring is breadth of perspective, decisions are tested against how they will land in the real world, not just how they look on paper. In AV and tech space, that matters because every decision impact multiple layers: partner readiness, customer experience, training, service support, and long-term trust.
When leaders bring that full-lifecycle thinking into the room, decisions become more practical, more scalable, and easier to execute.
When that broader perspective is present in the room, decisions become more practical, more scalable, and ultimately more resilient.
Your special message for women navigating a complex business environment and leadership.
If you’re empathetic, lead with empathy. If you’re bold, be bold. If you’re outspoken, own it. What makes you different is often what makes you valuable.
Start with why you’re doing what you’re doing. When you’re clear on your purpose and passionate about your work, it becomes much easier to stay grounded when the environment feels challenging.
But alongside authenticity, preparation matters. Be prepared, be consistent, and be clear in your thinking. Competence builds confidence, and confidence builds credibility.
Focus on long-term growth, build strong alliances, and let your work speak. Leadership isn’t about proving yourself every day. It’s about showing up with clarity and staying the course.
