The partnership combines AMBR’s AI agent capabilities and financial infrastructure with HashKey Capital’s institutional investment expertise and global fund management experience. It also marks another step in AMBR’s strategy to bring agentic AI into real-world financial applications, opening up new opportunities for the wider industry.
The collaboration was unveiled on stage by Michael Wu, Founder and CEO of AMBR, alongside Deng Chao, CEO of HashKey Capital, at the exclusive reception Capital Next: Allocation, Reimagined during Hong Kong FinTech Week.
Exploring AI Agents Across Core Financial Workflows
Under the partnership, the two companies intend to explore synergies between core financial workflows and task-oriented AI systems, including how AI agent architectures can be responsibly applied to investment research, operational automation, and institutional client services within high-velocity market environments.
Both firms come from fast-moving, high-stakes markets and share a background in putting new technology to work in real-world financial workflows. Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a simple information overlay, the partnership seeks to investigate deep operational integration—examining how AI agents can execute complex, multi-step tasks. The work will follow three principles drawn from AMBR’s experience building its own AI agents: human oversight, clear boundaries of autonomy, and data that remains under control.
The two companies are also partnering on products, providing AMBR’s clients with access to a broader range of products and services from HashKey Capital.
A Shared View on the Agentic Future
Deng Chao, CEO of HashKey Capital, stated: “The financial and digital asset sectors are moving rapidly from informational AI to task-oriented AI agents capable of operating in 24/7, data-dense environments. Hong Kong provides the ideal regulatory and market landscape to set high standards for secure, high-impact financial technology.”
Michael Wu, Founder and CEO of AMBR, stated: “AI agents are moving from answering questions to doing real work, and finance is where trust matters most and where the bar is highest. Agents earn trust in finance by knowing the workflow, working within clear limits and staying under human oversight. That is how we build at AMBR, and HashKey Capital is the right partner to take this into institutional investing.”
This partnership marks HashKey Capital’s early strategic engagement with AI agent technologies, as well as the first major partnership announced by AMBR following its business transformation. Both organizations view this announcement as a preliminary milestone and look forward to sharing further developments as their joint initiatives progress.
