Gamezop, one of the world’s leading online gaming platforms, has announced its plans for strategic expansion in the Middle East, following the successful establishment of its wholly owned subsidiary in the Kingdom of Bahrain in cooperation with the Economic Development Board.

The India-based company plans to invest USD 4 million to accelerate its operations, hire local talent, and explore acquisition opportunities to support its growth plans.

Founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs Yashash and Gaurav Agarwal, Gamezop is using the Kingdom of Bahrain as a gateway to expand into the rapidly growing digital economy in the Middle East, with the company’s expansion aligned with its global growth strategy and plans to enter additional markets.

Gamezop enables apps and websites to integrate games that enhance user engagement and generate revenue, with ads shown inside the games creating profits shared between Gamezop and the host platforms.

Gamezop aims to attract new partners to develop more than 1,000 apps and websites from its Bahrain hub, in addition to doubling its group revenue over the next 18 months.

Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of Business Development (ICT) at the Economic Development Board, said: “The supportive environment for online gaming in the Kingdom of Bahrain is gaining attention thanks to the Kingdom’s strong digital infrastructure, government initiatives, and a growing base of ambitious, creative talent. The entry of innovative companies like Gamezop will accelerate this growth, providing new opportunities for local developers and enhancing Bahrain’s position as a hub for creative industries in the region”.

The Kingdom of Bahrain provides Gamezop with an ideal launchpad into the Middle East, a region undergoing rapid digital transformation, characterised by widespread smartphone adoption, a young, tech-savvy generation, and increasing demand for interactive content.

The Middle East and North Africa region is a fertile market for Gamezop’s offerings, with thousands of consumer-facing apps and websites actively seeking new ways to boost engagement and achieve growth.

Gaurav Agarwal, co-founder of Gamezop, said: “We chose the Kingdom of Bahrain for its strategic location, business-friendly environment, and easy access to the region. We expect Bahrain to continue attracting leading global companies to establish their regional centres here, thanks to its advanced policies and the constructive, proactive support of the Economic Development Board, which has played a key role in our expansion. Our presence in the Kingdom marks the beginning of what we hope will become a strong digital bridge between India and the Middle East”.

Gamezop is backed by one of the world’s largest gaming venture capital firms, BITKRAFT Ventures. Gamezop is integrated with more than 9,000 platforms in over 70 countries, engaging with more than 45 million users monthly. Through its Middle East and North Africa headquarters, it is preparing to strengthen its regional presence, establish new partnerships, and contribute to Bahrain’s vision to become a leading centre for digital innovation in the Middle East.
