At this year’s show, Dahua showcased a comprehensive portfolio of solutions covering five key application areas: intelligent security, plant inspection, HSE and PPE management, electric vehicle charging, and intelligent control centers. Together, these solutions address the growing need for smarter operations, safer workplaces, and more efficient asset management across the renewable energy infrastructure.
In the field of intelligent security, Dahua showcased perimeter protection solutions for photovoltaic and energy systems that integrate thermal imaging, radar-camera linkage, three-lens surveillance, and solar-powered wireless security systems. Thanks to in-house developed thermal imaging algorithms, the solution extends the detection range by up to 85%. In a photovoltaic project in Brazil, the solution reduced the more than 1,000 false alarms per day triggered by 204 devices to about one false alarm per device per week. In Europe, Dahua’s AI-powered perimeter protection solutions have also been deployed in a 60 MW solar farm in Romania.
In the field of plant inspection, Dahua demonstrated intelligent inspection solutions specially tailored for substations and other geographically dispersed power equipment. By continuously monitoring equipment temperature and operating status, the system helps operators identify potential anomalies at an early stage. Automated inspection logs and reports also support predictive maintenance strategies, improving operational efficiency while reducing manual inspection labor.
To improve worker safety, Dahua showcased its HSE-PPE solutions, which include both fixed and portable AI-powered detection systems. The solutions automatically verify that employees entering high-risk areas are wearing the necessary protective equipment, such as helmets and safety vests, and provide real-time alerts if any irregularities are detected, helping to strengthen safety regulations in energy facilities.
Dahua also showcased its portfolio of EV charging solutions, including AC charging solutions for residential use and DC fast charging solutions for commercial applications. Supported by a cloud-based management platform and mobile app, the solutions allow users to monitor the charge level, configure charging schedules and manage charging sessions with greater flexibility and convenience.
In addition to these applications, Dahua’s Smart Control Centre integrates security, inspection, and operations management into a unified platform based on DSS Professional. The platform supports remote video surveillance, alarm management, inspection task planning, and historical data analysis, providing operators with a centralized view of plant operations. In Italy, Dahua’s thermal perimeter protection solution and DSS Professional platform enabled centralized management of remote solar installations and were later expanded to 80 sites with approximately 1,600 thermal cameras.
Together, these solutions reflect Dahua’s commitment to advancing the renewable energy industry through smart technologies and comprehensive protection across the entire lifecycle. Going forward, Dahua will continue to work with global partners to explore innovative AI applications that support a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable energy future.
